Fafnir is a large, black dragon. It cannot be caught.
Location
Found in The Abyss on every 10th floor starting at 100 (100, 110, 120, etc.) Once you defeat him on one of these floors, he will no longer spawn on that floor. You'll then have to go 10 floors further to find him again. The real identity of Fafnir is Bone Dragon.
Note that there are no waypoints after floor 210, so you'll need to have a strong team that can survive!

In Norse mythology, Fáfnir (Old Norse and Icelandic) or Frænir was a son of the dwarf king Hreidmar and brother of Regin and Ótr. He obtained a massive golden treasure from the Norse Gods in repayment when they accidentally killed his brother, but the trickster-god Loki was resentful, and laid a curse of greed upon a golden ring that was part of the treasure. As a result, Fáfnir was consumed by greed, and ultimately transformed himself into a fearsome dragon in order to better protect his hoard. He was later slain by the hero, Sigurd.
